Charles Norman Satterwhite, 79 of Talladega, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Jeff Rutledge and Travis Ford will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Satterwhite was a native of Chattanooga, TN and lived most of his life in Talladega. He was retired from The Army National Guard where he served from 1976 to 2002 and he served as a Talladega Sheriff’s reserve for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of Fain Creek Hunting Club. He loved animals and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Charlie is survived by his wife, Loretta Satterwhite; daughters, Lisa Peek (Allen), Sherry Hurst (Dewayne); son, Shane Satterwhite (Misty); grandchildren, Ashley Gallman, Autumn Myers, Dillon Satterwhite, Skylin Satterwhite, Tanner Hurst, Madison Holman, Kendahl Holman and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Maeoma Satterwhite; brother, Johnny Otis Satterwhite; and grandson-in-law Adam Gallman. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
