Pittsburgh, PA. – Emily Pate Ray, 87, passed away February 26, 2021. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Jeff Rutledge officiating. A visitation for extended family and friends will be for one hour prior to the service also at Usrey Funeral Home.
Ms. Ray was a native of Talladega and a member of Harvest Assembly of God in Bemiston. She loved to be with family, going on walks, meeting new friends and visiting the mountains, beaches and lakes.
She is survived by her daughter’s, Ginger Foreman (Michael) and Edie Henley; and her son, Michael Henley (Linda); her grandchildren, Kim Cheatwood (Brent), David Henley, Christopher Henley, Alicia Smith (Michael), Emily Forker (Ben), Melanie Benyehuda (Amir), Gabriella Horvitz (Solomon), Larry Bolding (Rebecca), Bailey Smith (Brooklyn), Jake Simpkins (Kayla), Amber Hightower (Darnell) and Joshua Corcos; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Frank L. Ray, Sr.; parent’s, Jake and Virginia Pate; sister, Jennie Sue Newman and stepson, Frank L. Ray, Jr.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Corcos, Bailey Smith, Jake Simpkins, Larry Bolding, Michael Smith and John Jewell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Grant and Michael Foreman.
