Munford – Bobby Eugene Lackey, 79, passed away February 22, 2021. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Jeff Rutledge officiating. There will be a visitation for extended family and friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service also at Usrey. Bobby was a native and lifelong resident of Munford, AL. He was retired from Southern Tool in Oxford and operated his own curb market and fruit stand. Bobby was a fan of Munford Lion football and tending to his ducks and chickens. He is survived by his children, Nancy Lackey Smith of Munford; Robin Moates of Munford; Lori Bennett of Alexandria; Pamela Snell (Ed) of Red Level; and Bobby Alan Lackey (Kim) of Talladega; his sister, “Little” Laura Cranford of Denton, TX.; twelve grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, Dewey and Anna Lackey; his brother’s, Joe Lackey and Leon Lackey; his grandson, Joshua Moates; and his daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jo Lackey. Pallbearers will be Matt Decker, John Knapp, Ray Harris, Derek Linkel, Doc Rainey and Duane Goodwin. His family would like to express a special “Thank You for taking such great care of Dad” to Ann, Elizabeth, Jeff, Missy, Katie and Jesper of Clay County Home Health.
