Obituary of J.L. Bunt

Mr. J.L. Bunt, 86, of Pell City, AL died peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family on February 18, 2021. He was reunited with his loving wife Carolyn at that time. Mr. Bunt was born on November 19, 1934 to Fannie and Almos Bunt. He began working at a young age to help support his family. His work as a young man eventually led to the creation of his own construction company. He proudly started Bunt Construction and went on to have a very successful career in carpentry. He was devoted to his work but even more so to his family. He married Carolyn Ramsey on the 28th of April, 1962. They went on to have four children together and were subsequently blessed with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They spent 49 wonderful years together before her passing in 2011. Mr. Bunt is survived by his sons Joseph (Rhonda) Bunt and Michael (Jennifer) Bunt; his daughters Varonica (John) May and Deanna (Jerone) Allen; his grandchildren Chelsea (Robin) Turner, Jonathan May, Sara Bunt, Michael (Abby) Bunt, Jalen Allen, Tori Bunt, and Tevin Allen; his great-grandchildren Emery Turner & Adley Turner; and his siblings Hazel Buchholz and Bobby Ray Bunt. Mr. Bunt will be laid to rest in a grave side service on Sunday, February 21st at 12:00 PM. Services to be held at St. Clair Memorial Gardens with Jerone Allen officiating.
