Obituary of Myrtle Ruth Gunter

Bro. Thorn Harrison and Nephew Mickey Caldwell will officiate with burial following in the adjoining church cemetery.
Myrtle Ruth, "Maw Maw" to her family, friends, and home health nurses, made an impact on every
single life she touched. She was a resident of the Renfroe community most of her life, and a Sunday
School teacher for years at Hepzibah, and a member of Renfroe Homemakers Club. She had a servant's heart and was never happier than when she was sending cards, cooking, sewing quilts, and making jams and jellies for her family and friends. She was an employee of Palm Beach Company for 26 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard W. Gunter, and her daughter, Cynthia Gunter
Harris, her parents, brother, Henry Eugene Vincent, and sisters, Nina K, Linn, Priscilla Howell and Vivian Naumann.
She is survived by her son, Howard David Gunter (Janice), daughters, Carolyn Hayes Spurgeon
(David), and Deborah Ruth Carden, son-in-law, Richard Harris, 17 grandchildren, 42 great-
grandchildren, 5 great, great-grandchildren, brothers, Emmett Vincent (Oakie), Ezekiel Vincent
(Barbara),Sisters: Adelle Caldwell, Frankie Jo Cosby, sister-in-law, Ludie Vincent and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Jimmy Vincent, Kim Cosby, Larry Vincent, Gene Linn, Donald Linn,
and Joseph Linn. Honorary pallbearers, Esther Sunday School Class, Joe Cothran's visitation team from
North Glencoe Baptist Church, special caregivers, Dr. Thomas Corley, Carol Gladden & associates,
GRMC Home Health, Nursing personnel ER, SlCU, and 7th floor, GRMC.
The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church prior to the funeral from 11:30 -1:00 pm.
Memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Assn, Autism Speaks, Wounded Warriors, or Alzheimers Assoc.
