Munford – Gladys Mae Smith, 96, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021. Funeral service for Mrs. Smith will be Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Usrey Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with James Smith officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Gladys loved to travel with her family and friends to the smoky mountains. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to read and grow flowers. She had a green thumb. Iris were her favorite flowers to grow.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Oglesby (Travis); six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Nelson (Jackie); and daughter-in-law, Jeanette Smith.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Lawrence Smith; her parents, Cecil and Allie Mae Nelson; and her son, Rodney S. Smith.
Pallbearers will be Chris Shomber, Dusty Rhodes, Jeff Stephens, Ryan Rhodes, Steve Smith, Larry Smith, and Austin Smith.
