Obituary of Donald Ray Stephens

Munford – Donald Ray Stephens, 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Funeral service for Mr. Stephens will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Munford Church of Christ with Shane Clark officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Munford Church of Christ from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Don was a native and lifelong resident of Munford. He was a member of Munford Church of Christ and retired from U.S. Forestry Service. Don was an avid turkey and deer hunter. He loved to hear his dogs run and was an avid Alabama football fan. He was a longtime member of Alabama Dog Hunter’s Association. Don is survived by his wife of 50 years, Annie “Cuddles” Stephens; daughter, Janet Stephens White (Robby), Lori Stephens Milam (Jay); son, Todd Stephens (Lana); brothers, Leon Stephens (Judy), Earl Stephens (Patsy), Jimmy Mack Stephens (Darenda), Charles “Corky” Stephens; sister, Nell Stephens Herd; eight grandchildren, DeAnna White, Abby White, Mallory Bell (Logan), Riley Brasher (Austin), Cannon Brasher (Gracie), Rhiley Pierce, Sawyer Stephens, Gracie Lynn Stephens; four great-grandchildren; Willa Bell, Wrenley Brasher, Ridge Brasher, and Jaxton Brazier. He is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Inez Stephens. Pallbearers will be his nephews and honorary pallbearers will be his hunting buddies.
