Frances Hutto Barber, 80, of Talladega passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at her residence. Her family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. A graveside service at Pine Hill Memorial Park will follow at 11:00 am with Steve Burke officiating. Frances was a wonderful wife, mother and Mimmie to Cason and Owen. She was a lifelong resident of Talladega, member of Bethel United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Frances and her husband Jimmy, opened Taylor Rental Center in 1980 and she was commonly called “Mrs. Taylor” by those visiting the business. To family, she was simply known as “Sister”. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and while we know she is celebrating in Heaven, she will be missed terribly here on earth. Mrs. Barber is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Amy Lee Hutto; brothers, Colvin Eugene Hutto, Joe Frank Hutto and sister, Betty Paul Mitchell. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jimmy C. Barber; daughters, Vicki Richardson (Tom), Bethanne Jenkins (Les); son, Perry Barber; sister, Bobbie Limbaugh (Alden) and grandchildren, Cason Smith and Owen Jenkins. Pallbearers will be Mike Limbaugh, Stan Mitchell, Terry Hutto, Joey Hutto, Kyle Horn, Tom Richardson, and Les Jenkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22748, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl.17, Chicago, IL 60601. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
