Obituary of Jerry Donald Robinson

Talladega - Jerry Donald Robinson, 82, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021. Graveside service for Mr. Robinson will be on Thursday January 28, 2021 at 2:00PM at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Dale Harris officiating. Family will receive friends prior to the graveside service from 12:30 to 1:30PM, at Usrey Funeral Home. Mr. Robinson was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and graduated from Talladega High School in 1956. He was the owner/operator of S & R Lumber and Supply in Talladega and also a member and deacon of Ironaton church of Christ. Donald proudly and honorably served his country for 42 years in the Army National Guard obtaining the rank of Command Sergeant Major. Donald was the ultimate family man and beloved by many in the Talladega community. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Williams Robinson; son, Terry Robinson; daughter, Lori Robinson Duncan; brother; Robin Robinson (Rosemary); sister, Peggy Bright; grandchildren, Carson Joan Duncan and Riley Robinson. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mary Robinson; brothers, Billy Robinson, Larry Robinson (Mary Louise), Tommy Robinson (Sue Ellen); sisters, Sara Robinson, Mary Virginia Horn (Larry). Pallbearers will be Kelly Horn, Chuck Keith, Brian Robinson, Tom Robinson, Joe Tom Stephens, and Randy Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Beverly, Sunny Deck, Jerry Sellers, Ken Shaddix, and John Eric Robinson.
