Mrs. Geneva Richardson Reed, 87. of Rainbow City, Alabama passed away on January 2, 2021.
Mrs. Reed grew up in Cordova, Alabama. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she was active in missions. She was an avid lifelong University of Alabama football fan and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Reed; sister, Jean Suddith; and brother, Hillard Richardson.
She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Glass (Martin) and Anita Wallace (Chuck); son, Michael Davis Reed; sister, Earlene Carver; grandchildren, Jennifer Chandler (Charley), Andrew Reed (Emmalee), Katie Arrant (Drew), Jared Glass (Katie), James Glass, Jonathan Glass, Heather Staples (Donald), Chris Wallace (Hanna) and Haley Wallace; and 12 great- grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Box Cemetery in Ragland with Pastor Lauil Thompson officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Southside Baptist Missions, 3975 Alabama Highway 77, Gadsden, Alabama 35907 or to the charity of your choice.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers at Woodland Place, Paden Ridge, Regency Pointe and Davita Dialysis in Rainbow City for all their love and support.
