Robert Earl Pettis, 94 of Lincoln passed away November 28, 2020. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday December 1, 2020 at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega with private burial in Blue Eye Baptist Church Cemetery. Joe Smith will officiate the service. His family will receive friends Tuesday at funeral home from 10 until service time.
Me. Pettis was a native and lifelong resident of Lincoln where he farmed cattle and poultry, he was a member of Eastaboga Church of Christ, and He loved God, Family and his friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Monta Purva and Nettie Ann Pettis and sisters Willie Mae Cobb, Rhetta Cobb, brothers Terrell Pettis, Vance Pettis, A.C. Pettis and Melvin Pettis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Mable Pettis, sons Anthony Pettis (Carla), Phillip Pettis (Terri), sister Floyce Howell, granddaughters Jacy Legue, Lesley Holbrook (Paul), great-granddaughters Jordan Holbrook, Madelyn Holbrook, Allison Holbrook and a host of nieces and nephews
Serving as Pallbearers will be Paul Holbrook, Keith Owens, Ray Pettis, Glenn Cobb, Eric Cook, Chris cook, Honorary Pallbearers Stanly Cook, Wayne Pettis and Emmett Cook.
In lieu of flowers memorials contributions can be made to Lakeside Hospice or Blue Eye Cemetery Fund. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct.
