Obituary of Hugh Melvin Hindmon, Jr.

Hugh Melvin Hindmon, Jr., 89, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020. Graveside service for Mr. Hindmon will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, 12:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery with Don Barnett officiating. Hugh was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and very active in church work. Hugh worked and retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a member of N.A.R.F.E. and was also a member of Talladega Masonic Lodge #261. Mr. Hindmon served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean conflict. Hugh is survived by his two sons, Hugh Gordon Hindmon (Denise), Gregory Scott Hindmon, Sr. (Pam); five grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson (Clint), Lauren Sanford (Clay), Scott Hindmon (Jessica), Michelle Hindmon, Eileen Hindmon; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hindmon. Pallbearers will be Keith Owens, Aaron Owens, Kenneth Coleman, Clay Coleman, Clint Johnson, and Clay Sanford.
