Talladega – Claude Thomas “Tommy” Fite, Jr. passed away September 23, 2020. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega with Greg Tankersly officiating. His family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday afternoon, at Usrey Funeral Home.
Tommy was a native of Talladega, he operated Fite Produce in Talladega and retired from Buffalo Rock. He loved to play the slot machines and golf. His pass times were watching old game show re-runs and going to the dog track. He was a 1958 graduate of Talladega High and Jacksonville State University. Tommy also coached Little League baseball in Talladega for a number of years.
He is survived by his son, Tom; his daughter, Kimberly Lynn; and his grandchildren, Cade Thomas Fite and Greyson Sims Fite.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Betty Thompson Fite; and parents, Claude Thomas Sr. and Cherry Fite.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Tom Fite III, Chris Wolf, Scott Birchfield, Tommy Perkins, Willis Whatley, Cade Fite and Brian Sargent.
