Lincoln - Ruby “June” Hudson (October 11, 1931 - August 29, 2020) died surrounded by family at Cleburne County Nursing Home in Heflin, Alabama. She is survived by daughter, Susan Williams (Alton); son, Robin Hudson (Donna); granddaughters, Leslie Yoder (Wesley), Candice Weeks (Chris); grandsons, Bradley Williams (Patreese) and Kevin Williams (Hope); great grandchildren, Jaylon Hudson, Dayne Yoder, Shelby Williams, Charlee McGowan, Drew Weeks and Dylan Schram; and a brother Glenn Graham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hudson; her father, Joseph Carl Graham, Sr.; her mother, Lottie Legette Graham; sisters, Mary Jo Moore, Nita Graham and Carolyn Bosworth; and brothers, Neil Graham and Carl Graham, Jr. June, as known by her friends, was born and raised in Lincoln, Alabama. After high school, she worked at Anniston Army Depot until she retired in 1996. At the depot, June was a supply clerk with the Department of the Army, responsible for shipping ammunition. June was well known in the Lincoln community. She was an active member of Lincoln United Methodist Church where she served on various committees over the years, and a member of the Faye Parker Sunday School Class. Before declining health, she was a member of the Lincoln Garden Club and Lincoln Quest Club. She also worked to help establish the first ambulance service for the community of Lincoln, by raising money and serving on Lincoln’s first ambulance board. June lived life to the fullest, usually surrounded by friends. She loved playing golf with her husband and friends at Pell City Country Club, and even recorded a ‘hole in one’ on the course. In her later years, she enjoyed activities at the Lincoln Senior Center, especially Bingo. Visitation will be Monday, August 31, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside service for the family will be held Tuesday, September 1 at 1:00 PM at the Lincoln Cemetery. The family requests that face masks be worn during visitation. Pallbearers will be family and friends: Bradley Williams, Kevin Williams, Wesley Yoder, Jaylon Hudson, Corky Graham and David Wilson. The family will receive flowers, or donations can be made to Cleburne County Nursing Home/Activities, Heflin, Alabama. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will direct.
