Dorothy “Dot” Jean Phillips, 86, passed away August 5, 2020. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 7, 2020 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with David Rozelle officiating.
Mrs. Phillips was a native of Talladega. She was employed at Cato’s and, for many years, Griffin’s Jewelers in Talladega. She loved her children, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and her special pet dog, Dixie.
Survivors include daughter, Dianne Ford (Carol), daughter, Kathy Powell (Alan); grandchildren, Camron Shirey, Tami Baines, Daniel Carter, Heather Smith, James White, Chad Phillips, Blake Phillips, Jessica Goss, Tiffany Owens, Troy Ford, Amanda Accoin; and also a host of great and great great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Dulaney; husband, George Phillips; daughter, Paula White; son, Ricky Phillips; great great-grandsons, Weston Shirey and Jaxon White; brother’s, Jr. Dulaney and Charles Dulaney.
Pallbearers will be James White, Blake Phillips, Zac Graham, Nic Shirey, Alex Shirey and Daniel Carter.
