Lincoln – Chappelle Mae Morrow, 95, passed away peacefully at home at 2:30 am. Graveside service for Chappelle will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Michael Cox officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Usrey Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
She was born February 17, 1925 in Montevallo, Alabama to Detus “Deter” Felton Trapp and LoRena Ellen Morelock Trapp. She married Willie Roscoe Morrow in October 19, 1944 who preceded her in death in 2003.
Chappelle enjoyed gardening in her early years, raising goats, fishing trapping and country life in general. She loved quilting and her hands were rarely still even in her last days. Chappelle was one of the founders of ladies auxiliary at post #155 of American Legion at Bynum, Alabama.
Chappelle is survived by her son, Leland Roscoe Morrow; daughter, LoRena Maude King; son, Detus Colvin Morrow (wife, Sharlene Morrow); two grandsons; two granddaughters; multiple great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
