John was a friend and brother in Christ. He always encouraged me so much by his words and example. He did many good deeds and things no one knew about (he did not want praise for them). Two of many examples: He supplied me with a computer and copier to help in my writing Bible study books. On another occasion, he supplied gas money for me to go out of state and preach to a small church. He was a great song leader and we loved it when he would lead the singing at the Munford church of Christ. I loved John and he holds a special place in my heart. Thank you brother John.

I don't have any photos of John but I don't need any. John is one of those people that once you meet them, they're in your heart and head forever. He always had a joke to share and a smile to put on your face. He loved his family for all he was worth. Hearts are broken and tears are shed but plenty of stories will be told and laughter shared. I can see him surveying the south 40 and arguing about the right of way of at least one of the streets of gold right now. You did a great job good and faithful servant. Welcome home.
