Through all the years that I was friends with Dr. Ricker, going back to my teenage years at First Baptist Church & Shocco Springs, he was a trusted mentor & godly example to me that I deeply respected & who I remember would continually make me feel special & encouraged. Later in life, I remember he would make time for me when I would return to Talladega while on military leave, so we could catch up & fellowship. By being friends with such a God-fearing Christian husband & wife as Dr. George & Mrs. Iva Nelle Ricker, my life was greatly inspired, blessed, & enriched, in which I am deeply grateful for, & to which I give God all the glory!
