Munford – Opal Dean Brannon, 90, passed away on June 22, 2020. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega with Shane Clark officiating.
She was a lifelong member of Munford church of Christ. Opal loved gardening, cooking, sewing and faithfully reading her Bible every day. She had a sweet tooth and her favorite was Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. She was also one of eleven children that belonged to her parents, Frank and Oma Wade of Munford, Al.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 53 years, Jake C. Brannon; daughter, Patricia Parrett; son, George Brannon; grandson, Wesley Goodwin; grandson, Jimmy Clark Goodwin and great-granddaughter, Kelsey Marie Goodwin.
Her survivors include her sister, Patsy Wade Holt; grandson, Duane (Suzette) Goodwin; great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Goodwin; great-granddaughter, Kristin Horton; great-granddaughter, Celeste Goodwin; great-grandson, Drew Goodwin; great great-grandchildren, Austin Vickers and Charlie Horton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
