Aunt Etoile was the provider of many fond memories from my childhood. Mom would load us three boys up in the old station wagon and head for Talladega. I always loved seeing the narrow driveway and fence along the road leading to the old wooden garage that uncle Pete kept the car in.
Aunt Etoile's house was like a castle to me. I loved exploring the big rooms with the high ceilings. We would play on the hill between aunt Etoile's and the house next door which seemed like a mountain to a little guy. I remember visiting when I was older and wondering where that big hill went.
Aunt Etoile was always happy and laughing no matter what was going on. She was a great aunt, a loving mother and will be remembered always.
