Talladega – Shelley Jo Barclay passed away June 9, 2020. A graveside service will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Cal McIntire officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home. Shelley was a native of Pennsylvania and resided in Talladega for the past 21 years. She was a graduate of Davis and Elkins College, the University of West Virginia and Jacksonville State University, a school teacher at Alabama School for the Deaf, Talladega High School, Zora Ellis Junior High, Sylacauga High School, Lineville High School and Helen Keller School. She was a former Advertising Director for newspapers in Washington, D. C. and New Jersey, a member at Mt. Olive Baptist Church and also a member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Pete Barclay; son John Barclay (Jennifer),daughter Kelly Prince; grandchildren, Christopher Gage Barclay, Taylor Prince, Christyan Prince; great-grandchildren, Brayden Hawkins and Layloni Prince. Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Jeanie Rally. Pallbearers will be John Barclay, Christyan Prince, Christopher Gage Barclay, Tom Lamb, Terrell Garrett and Ronald Hawkins.
