Obituary of Jessie Dewayne Gurley

Jessie Dewayne Gurley, 38, passed away March 28, 2020. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Immanuel Baptist Church. Stephen Collins will officiate the service. He is survived by his parents, James and Billie Gurley; children, Jessica Grace Gurley, Landen Dewayne Gurley and Logan Ray Gurley; brother’s, Terry Lane Cleveland and John Christopher Gurley; sister, Beverly Cleveland Collins (Stephen); sister in laws, Ashley Cleveland and Connie Gurley; grandmother, Geraldine Gurley; five nieces; two nephews; one great niece; one great nephew and countless friends. Jessie is preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie A. Gurley. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved fishing with his sons, a love for his family that included his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was a talented auto body technician, loved race cars, music and lived life his way or no way. He was a gracious and generous person and would help anyone with anything if he could.
