Obituary of Walter Cecil Parks

Talladega – Walter Cecil Parks, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Parks was a longtime resident of Talladega, AL. He was a member of Talladega Church of Christ. Mr. Parks served in the Air Force and was a veteran in the Korean Conflict. He retired from the United States Post Office. Mr. Parks is survived by his two daughters, Cindy Bradford, Celia Barr (Steve); brother, Billy Wayne Parks; grandchildren, Kimberly Huss (Joseph), Erin Barr, Abigail Barr; and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Smith Parks; grandson, Kyle Bradford; and son-in-law, Perry Bradford. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Leukemia Society.
