Some of the best things you get in life are things that you haven't even asked for. I did not know to ask for Tammy, but the gift of this sweet girl was presented to me in the form of a daughter-in-law, and there could've been none better. I will always love and miss her. She has the sense of humor that fits so well in our family, a positive outlook even in grim circumstances, and I know she smiling on us all at this moment.

Tammy,
You were always there for me growing up, like a big sister. From back in the days of sharing a bedroom with you, borrowing all your cool clothes, and you teaching me how to play “spit”. You got me my first job and you were there for me when Jim died. You were the first to hold Brianna when she was born. I have always admired your strength and courage and you unconditional love. I love you!

I have known Tammy for approximately 11 years. She was one of our neighbors when we lived in Shoal Creek. We spent ti me together at our church singing, VBS, Christmas programs and so many other activities. When Carl and I lived in the valley she would call us to help with her dad during his lingering illness. She was always there to help anyone and to impart her beautiful godly wisdom to everyone especially the teens in her Sunday School class. To hear her sing was like listening to an angel. Her smile and laughter just lit up the room when she walked in. She showed the entire world her strength and belief in Jesus and his plans for her through her entire fight with cancer. She will be missed by all.

Tammy, I will always be grateful for you and Walts visit to Atlanta last year. We enjoyed dinner, had some laughs, talked about the good old days, and I was finally able to introduce you to Tara and our girls. I will never forget this day, or you.

My condolences to you and your family. I only met you and Tammy very briefly. The love and caring you displayed during that brief visit was the most amazing love I have ever seen. Sending you and your family positive thoughts and hoping that you find joy in the memories of all the great times you had together.

I grew up knowing Tammy and her family. I went to school and church with them. Tammy was a good friend to us all and always had a smile on her face. She made birthday parties and sleep overs so exciting with her ghost stories. She was the BEST story teller! She was a wonderful person and I’m glad I will see her again in Heaven. I’m praying for Walt and the whole family. I love you all
