Dawn Gentry, 52, of Talladega, passed away February 17, 2020. A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2020 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Sam Walker officiating. Kenya White will serve as the musician. Her family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Dawn was a native of Talladega and lived most of her life in Anniston, she enjoyed cooking, baking cakes, animals, the mountains and the water. She will be remembered for being such a loving and kind person.
She is survived by her children, Hunter Gentry, Olivia Gentry and Taylor Gentry; mother, Eloise Medders; grandmother, Margaret Pierce; uncles, Wayne Pierce (Amanda) and Ronny Pierce (Debra Powell); numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Gentry; father, Jimmy Allen Medders and grandfather, James M. Pierce.
Her family extends a special “Thank You” to Mickey Stringfellow, Shirley Freeman, Terri Watts and Katie Freeman.
