To the Dear Daughters of Ken's- Windi, Deidra, Anna and their Families ,I know you girls have made your Daddy very Proud in the watching over him in these finally days of his life! Also in so many times in the passed. I know he knew he could count on you three ,as he taught you each so well in taking care of your own children and grands! He was a fine example of how a Daddy should be to his family! So glad Ken was your Dad - he was your gift from the Lord! God be with you girls and your families as ya'll go ahead to your futures. We will be Praying for all of you and remember our Love and Hugs are always here. You each have been so important to his Life . I know he will be missed so much ,but want be far as we know he is walking with God now! Fine Peace in this verse -Numbers 6 :24-26. Love you all-Sharron and Ray Johnson

I was very sad to hear that my brother Kenneth Andrew Hanlin left us late Friday afternoon. He is much loved by all his family and we know he is smiling down on us from above! It is always hard to lose a family member that you love but it brings you closer to those who went through this hard time with you. I wish for my nieces Windy, Deidra, and Anna and their families to grow stronger together in the memories of all the good times you all had with your Dad. We will treasure our memories also. I have added photos of our family from earlier, happy times. We love you, Kenneth! From Sandy, Larry, and James Silvers

I will never forget how Chainsaw and I met. 31 years ago we were both on the CB. I was calling for Litterbug, a mutual friend, one night and he wasn't answering. Ken keyed in and said "you know that's illegal, right?" I ignored him the first few times he said it. Then, annoyed, I said who is this? We talked every once in a while after that. Finally he invited me over to meet him. With a name like chainsaw I was expecting this big dude with flannel shirt and a beard. A real motorcycle dude type. Well, he wasn't expecting a girl who was 6' tall and about 230! He opened the door and we both busted out laughing. Been friends ever since. I introduced my friends to him because he was that cool a guy. Smart mouth, joking around, smart, funny. We went out to eat some as friends. Always friends. I got married and my husband liked him too. Just a great guy. To know him was to love him. I'm really gonna miss my friend.
