I want to send my sympathy to the family of Faye. I will always remember an event at Chestnut Creek Baptist Church, in Chilton County, Alabama several years ago, that I was fortunate enough to attend. Faye reminded me so much of my late Aunt Annie Laurie DeVaughn. Her voice was crystal clear that day, and my Aunt who passed away in 1970 had the same voice quality. When I told her my thoughts, she said that was one of the finest compliments she had ever received. Apparently Aunt Annie Laurie was one of her favorite singers when she was much younger. Faye will be sorely missed. I wish I could be able to come to the service, but living in North Georgia, I simply can not make it. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.
