Obituary of Tony Eugene Pettus

Tony Eugene Pettus, 48, of Talladega, passed away November 17, 2019 at Citizens Baptist Medical Center. His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with David Holcomb officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Pettus was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was employed with Anniston Army Depot for 10 years and was a diehard Alabama fan. He loved and adored his wife and girls.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Pettus; daughters, Madison “Mat Mat” Pettus, Katelyn “Boo” Pettus; sisters, Stephanie Orr, Donna Jean Waites; brothers, Gary Pettus, David Pettus, Jimmy Wren Bates; parents, Clarence and Betty Pettus; mother, Christine Bates; extended family, Hunter and Kristin Sims; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tony Allen “Pops” Scott.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Hurst, Kevin Milam, Jimmy Banks, Gary Cromwell, Carwarren Pearson, Derrick Richardson, Jake Montgomery, Marlon Morris, Stevie Woods, and Brant Beavers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards funeral expenses.

Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
