Talladega – Billy Ray Stines, 83, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at his residence. Funeral service for Mr. Stines will be 1:30 pm, Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Ridgeview Baptist Church. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the church. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Tommy Strickland will officiate the service.

 

Billy was a lifelong resident of Talladega and retired from Talladega Foundry. He enjoyed the lake and spending time with his grandchildren.

 

Mr. Stines is survived by his three daughters, Ava Ballard (Robert), Kim Otwell (Arlen), and Molly Johnson (Tommy); grandchildren, Jessica Ballard, Olivia Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Luke Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Stines; siblings, Gen Kent, Bea Ledbetter, Ola Belle Cook, and Carol Stines.

 

Pallbearers will be Robert Ballard, Arlen Otwell, Tommy Johnson, David Williams, Graham Hadley, and Roger Vandermaelen.
