Obituary of Mary Faye Phillips

Talladega – Mary Faye Phillips, 81, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. Funeral service for Ms. Phillips will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church Talladega. Visitation will be on Friday, October 25, 2019 at First Baptist Church Talladega from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Interment will be Friday at McCormack Cemetery in Dora, AL at 3:30 pm. Rev. Robert Klotz will officiate the service.

Mary was a native of Walker County and moved to Talladega in 1969. She was a member of First Baptist Church Leader of Women on Missions (WMU). She was also a member of the Pinecrest Federated Garden Club. She was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother.

Ms. Phillips is survived by her son, Marty Phillips (Pam); daughter, Pam Phillips Chapman (Jeff); sisters, Bobbie Jane Goodwin Segers (Glen) and Betty Goodwin Ayers; brother, Charles Goodwin (Gaye); three grandchildren, Jennifer Phillips Eldredge (Kav), Amanda Phillips Britton (Corey), Charles Phillips II (Caroline); five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Charles Phillips, Kav Eldredge, Corey Britton, Jeff Ayers, Michael Segers, and William Stricklend.
