Obituary of Jim Strickland

Mr. Jim Strickland passed away on August 1, 2019 in Opelika Al. He was 76 years of age. Mr. Strickland was a 33rd degree Mason and Shriner, as well as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Strickland was survived by his wife Jerry Strickland; daughters, Jo Anne ( Larry) Smith, Jennifer (Will) Barrett; sister, Carolyn Ryder; brother, Gene Strickland (Amanda); grandsons, Michael & Spencer Barrett, & Rodgers Smith.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Dadeville Al. with Dr. Ben Hayes officiating.  There will be a graveside service on Monday August 5,2019 at 10:00 am at the  Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo Al.

The family will receive friends Sunday August 4, from 1:00pm until service time at the church

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be  made to First Baptist Church Dadeville.
