He left an amazing legacy of service and ministry for the entire family. I am so grateful to him for the light he shined before his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild. Coffee will never taste the same. Blessings in Heaven Grandaddy!! xoxo

My heart is saddened at the passing of this fine man that by many was called dad, granddaddy, uncle, neighbor , pastor and friend. I was called friend and cherished it from the early 1960's until his passing. I recall the many times sitting around our kitchen table as we were growing up, the prayer meetings and the many revival services. Though circumstances caused us all to seperate we remain together at heart. I believe He has seen " The Rock that was hewed out the mountain" and heard many responses as he called names of those he was looking for. Memories that are precious and linger are a blessing from God. Thankful that the Maddox family is indeed a precious memory. Condolences to each of you and I will meet you by the river, that bright and shinning river..Love all of you. Faith

My prayers of comfort and peace for all the family. Bro Archie was a wonderful man of God. He lead me to the Lord and baptized me in the river at the end of Woods Bend in Ragland when he was pastor if Oak Grove #2 Missionary Baptist Church when I was 9 years old. The wonderful memories I have of him and Mrs Mary Ruth will be Forever etched in my heart. I know Mary Ruth was waiting at the gates of Heaven to welcome him in right beside Jesus. He will be a guardian angel to many. I will miss him and his pens (a joke between him and me, my entire life. It even went into my adult life and the last time I took his pen I was in my late 30’s). He will be missed dearly not only by his family but by his Christian family and friends as well. May God Bless each and every one of you.
