Obituary of George "Ricky" Phillips

Funeral services for George Richard “Rick” Phillips will be Friday July 12, 2019 at 12:00 pm Usrey Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Boiling Springs Baptist Cemetery, Rev Tommy Hays will officiate services. Mr. Phillips passed away at St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham July 8, 2019.

Mr. Phillips is survived by a sons, Blake Phillips (Bre Ross) and Chad Lawson Phillips, daughters, Tiffany Owens and Jessica Phillips Goss (Ryan), mother, Dorothy Phillips, sister, Diane Ford (Carol), nephews James Michael White (Beth), Austin Lumpkin, and several more nieces and nephews, three grandchildren Jemison Owens, Malikye Owens, Alyssa Halley, Bailey Goss, and Joseph “Ryan” Goss.

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his father, George Lawson Phillips and sister, Paula White.

 Mr. Phillips was a native and lifelong resident of Lincoln, member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and, was the director of True Heart Ministries Drug and Alcohol program, his pride and joy was his son Blake and his dog Tank.

Pallbearers for services will be Blake Gable, James Michael White, Austin Lumpkin, Austin Rice, Alton Rice, Dalton Brown, Michael West, and Jonathan Owens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lamar Maddox, Ross Brown, Jimmy Darrell Hill, D.J. Parker, Chris McCarver, and Blake McCurry.

The Family wishes to express special thanks to Lincoln Fire and Rescue for always being there for them.
