Graveside services for Mrs. Evelyn Canada Collier, 97, will be 11:00am, Thursday, June 12, at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30am Thursday morning at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega. Rev. Steven Canada will officiate.
Mrs. Collier passed away Monday, June 9, at Citizens BMC. She was a former member of The Eastern Star, owner of Big Foot BBQ in Waldo and served as Town Clerk of Waldo. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Red Collier and her son, Wayne Collier.
Mrs. Collier is survived by her daughters, Wynelle (Mike) Griffin and Linda Patterson, son Tony (Elizabeth) Collier, daughter-in-law, Nancy Collier, sisters, Mae C. Gall of Arizona and Virginia Windhouse of California, brothers, Bob J. Canada of Selma and Duncan Pat Canada of Tennessee, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Seth Collier, Tony Collier, Matt Ewers, Chris Canada, Al Stevens, and Mike Griffin. Flowers are accepted or donations to American Cancer Societys Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, AL 35205-7001. 1-800-227-2345
