Obituary of James Lavelle Horne

Sylacauga – James Lavelle Horne, 86, passed away on Friday, June7, 2019. Funeral service for Mr. Horne will be on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at Usrey Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home. Interment will be at Clairmont Springs Cemetery. Rev. Greg Tankersley will officiate the service.

James Horne was a native of Clay County. He was a Korean War veteran while serving in the Navy. He was an avid Auburn fan and was the owner/operator of Stemley Auto Sales.

He is survived by his daughters, LaJean Horne; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Horne; three grandchildren, Jamie, Justin and Juanita Horne; five great grandchildren, Jamison, Jocelynn, Jarrett, Jaxton, and Lyric Horne.

 Mr. Horne is preceded in death by his son, Danny Horne; parents, Lonnie and Jessie Horne; and brothers, Ralph, and Mearle Horne.

Pallbearers will be Charles Liner, Louis Demarcus, Jamie Horne, Justin, Horne, and Clark Murray. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Vinton Crawford.
