Obituary of Edwin W. Phillips

Edwin W. Phillips, 89 of Talladega passed away June 2, 2019. Graveside services will be held 11:00am Tuesday June4, 2019 at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Wesley Johnson will officiate the service.

Mr. Phillips was a veteran of the Korean War, he was retired after 35 years from Saunders Leasing Company Inc. in Montgomery after his retirement moved to Talladega, and He was a member of Talladega Creek Baptist Church.

 He is preceded in death by his daughter Kathy Phillips. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Geneva Phillips, two daughters Connie Freeman (Tony) and Donna Phillips Beatly (Mike), granddaughters Leslie Freeman Haynes (David), Julie Freeman Harcrow (Jessie), four great-grandchildren, nephews Jess Phillips (Debbie), Ron Phillips (Linda), niece Carole Phillips Kerr.

Pallbearers will be Mike Beatly, Tommy Daugherty, Tony Haywood, Ron Phillips, Jimmy Scott and Gary Taylor. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
