Craig was my friend when we served together in Vietnam. He was a mechanic, and a good one. I remember a time when an injector was acting up on one of our guns while we were on a march order. He cut the fuel line, asked a lieutenant for a round from his M-14 and plugged the fuel line with it. The lieutenant didn’t like it, but the gun made it home.
I also remember him talking about Candy, and I am happy to see you had a life together. Craig was my friend, I offer him a slow hand salute and may he Rest In Peace.
PS, I have a couple of pictures of Craig that I would be happy to share if you email me. Be well, Doug
