Obituary of Peggy House Williams

Peggy House Williams passed away peacefully at her home in Lincoln, AL with her husband of 54 years, David, and other family members by her side on May 8, 2019. Visitation and a celebration of life will be on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at 5pm at Covenant Life Ministries in Alexandria, AL.

Peggy was born February 25, 1946 in Lincoln, Alabama. The daughter of William Scott and Janie Elizabeth House, she grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964.  She married her high school sweetheart, David Lynn Williams, in June of 1964. During their 54 years of marriage, Peggy and David enjoyed canning vegetables, working their poultry farm, attending Alabama football games, and spending time with their family and friends. Peggy enjoyed painting and was very involved in church through the years.  She served as GA leader, nursery coordinator, Sunday school teacher, youth chaperone, LLL club for seniors director, but her greatest joy was taking mission trips to Bolivia with her husband to plant seeds for new churches.

Loved ones that will dearly miss Peggy until they meet her again include her loving husband David, children David Lynn Williams II (Kelly), Benjamin Francis Williams (Becky) and Monica Williams Stinnett (Chad). She was a loving Granny to seven grandchildren; David Lynn Williams III, Ian Franklin Williams, Meredith Ivey Williams, Benjamin Cauy Williams, Emma Mae Williams, Taylor Elizabeth Stinnett and Andrew Everett Stinnett. Loved ones who cleared the path for her were her parents, William Scott and Janie Elizabeth House, her in-laws, Harry Edward and Gulnare Ivey Williams, a sister, Martha House Wallace, a brother, William Scott House Jr., and a brother in-law, Frank Milton Williams.
