Obituary of Eloise Hubbard

Mrs. Eloise Weaver Hubbard, age 93, of Talladega went home to glory on January 4, 2011 at Talladega Healthcare. Services will be held at First Baptist Church Thomas Chapel at 11:00AM on Friday, January 7, 2011 with her grandson, Hugh Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Visitation of family and friends will be 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Thomas Chapel. Mrs. Hubbard was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Sunbeam Teacher, and a Bible School Teacher. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother. She was affectionately known as Nonnie by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was renowned for her chocolate chip cookies, cararmel brownies, and generous gift giving. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin, of 69 years, her mother, Lula Rosie Lee Weaver, her father, Henry Thomas Weaver, sister, Nellie Mae Adkinson Stinct, brother, Bobby Eugene Weaver, nephew, Jimmy Lee Adkinson, and other special aunts and cousins. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Sexton(Dan), Suzanne Tidmore(Jerry); six grandsons, Scott Sexton(Janet), Dr. Marvin Sexton(Melissa), Hugh Sexton(Lisa), Dr. Eric Tidmore(Christy), Ethan Tidmore(Emily), Elliot Tidmore; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby Sexton, Benjamin Sexton, Walker Sexton, Gregory Sexton, Ansley Sexton, Brenna Sexton, Carter Tidmore. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Hubert Hubbard and family, Donald and Patsy Hubbard and family, staff at Talladega Healthcare, Fidelis Sunday School Class, Ginny Sims, Annette Brady, Dr. Jim Davis and Bobby Weaver.
