I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband, Tommy, please accepted our condolences. The Bible tells us that in the near future those who have fallen asleep in death will be brought back to live life right here on earth in paradise. Describing what condition will then be like, the Bible states that God "will wipe out every tear from [OUR]eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:3,4)
