I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friend and coworker. Ray was my leader and supervisor for 21 of my 22 years at TTF. I loved him like a brother during my association with him. His honesty and integrity was impeccable. The sadness i feel is for Lynn and Rachael who i know are hurting and i pray God will give them comfort. Ray was a christian and a Godly man and am sure where he will spend eternity. He taught me too much to list, and even though we did not always agree i have never known another human being that i respect more than i did Ray. I feel honored and privileged and blessed to have had him my life. To Lynn and Rachael and family, may God bless and comfort you.

The world needs more people like Ray.
While at TTF, Ray was a fun yet serious friend and co worker. He had a knack for trying to understand others and to help them understand his. His empathy was the strongest of anybody I ever worked with. He very often took people in under his wing and helped them progress and improve with the utmost kindness and respect.
Ray was quick witted and fun with his pranks, jokes and viewpoints he made with a grin and brought people together with his genuine humbleness.
He loved his wife Lynne and daughter Raechel and God; we know this because he said it so frequently and demonstrated it by his actions.
God bless Ray, his family and his many friends. We will see you again.

I remember most working with Ray at TTF while at Harley. I have known no other who took his work as seriously, worked as hard as he did, and laughed and smiled more while doing it than Ray. He inspires me even now... RIP my friend.

Ray was such a great help and friend to me at TTF when I was there. I used to enjoy sitting in his office figuring out how to get things done and even if we disagreed there was always that twinkle in his eye that said he'd do his best. He was also a great help to me if I had personal issues or if things were just getting me down. He always had a kind or wise word to help things along. Also fun was swapping my daughters cinnamon rolls which he loved for a nice Pecan pie. (Not sure if it was Mrs. Nix who baked it, but all the same, great). I still can't believe he has left us. Gods speed old friend.

To those of us who were lucky enough to work alongside Ray at TTF, he will always be remembered as one who led by example. So much mechanical talent, combined with a heart of gold. I’ll always remember his humor and his work ethic. Ray, you made a BIG difference in the lives of all who worked with you. Love ya, Bubba.

Ray was my right hand man when we worked together for Harley-Davidson at the Talladega Test Facility. He was one of the hardest working guys I knew and he stayed at work as long as it took to get the job done. He and his wife Lynne were beautiful together and I am honored to have known both of them and being able to call them friends.
Godspeed dear Ray.
