Obituary of Helen Mary Schoggins Lakey

Graveside service for Mary Helen Schoggins Lakey, 88, of Talladega will be Saturday May 31, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Dr. Dennis Jones will officiate. Her family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Lakey passed away May 29, 2014 at Talladega Health and Rehab.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She went 12 years of school without missing a day. She worked at Bemis Bag Co. as an accountant for 35 years, then at Wehadkee for 18 years. She traveled extensively and was a huge University of Alabama fan. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Talladega and at one time helped in the nursery.
Her survivors include her son Terry Lakey and his wife Mary, grandson, Rhett Tillman Lakey and niece Janis McCardle, several longtime friends.
