Obituary of Yvonne Brown

Yvonne P. Brown, 81, of Talladega, passed away December 31, 2018. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church in Talladega with David Gaither and Joe Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Providence cemetery in Clay County. Her family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. also at New Hope Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brown was a native of Talladega where she lived most of her life. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, the Fidelis Sunday School Class teacher, an Auxiliary at Citizens Baptist Medical Center and an avid Alabama fan who loved her family very much.

Her survivors are daughters, Nancy Jo Thornton (Ken), Sandra Jones (Tony); son, Jonathan Brown (Stephanie); grandchildren, Ashley Elias (Manny), Katie Ruthsatz (David), Joshua Jones, Jared Thornton (Melissa), Jordan Brown (Jessica), Conner Brown, Ian Jones; great-grandchildren, Aiden Elias, Audriana Elias and Eleanor Ruthsatz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Brown.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
