Obituary of Franklin Dixon Bishop

Funeral service for Franklin “Frank” D. Bishop, Sr. 80, of Talladega will be Friday, May 30, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Josh Dorough and Eddie Dorough will officiate. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens. His family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Bishop passed away May 27, 2014 at Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veteran Home in Pell City. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant child, 4 brothers and a sister. Frank was a native and longtime resident of Talladega. He was a member of Cropwell Baptist Church and a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He loved to read his Bible. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Jane Wyatt Bishop, son, Franklin D. Bishop, Jr. (Bobbie), daughters, Debra Bishop Dorough (Eddie), Teresa Bishop Wood (Ryan), Susie Davis (Chris), Connie Bishop Roberts (Jamie), Stephanie Bishop Morris (Ryan), 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Caleb and Jordan Wood, Joey Lee, Dillon Morris, Austin Davis, Luke Ford and Shane Bishop.
