Obituary of Jerry Lane Fincher

Jerry Lane Fincher of Talladega passed away Monday, December 24, 2018. His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Jacky Morgan officiating. His family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until service time. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park.

 

Mr. Fincher is survived by his wife of 56 years, Muriel Fincher; daughters, Connie Hall (Randy), Cathy George (Michael) and Michele Taylor (Edwin); sister, JoAnn Vickers; grandchildren, Dylan Hall, Danielle Hall, Bradley George, Steven Taylor (Lacey) and great grandchild, Amzyi Taylor.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryant and Tommie Fincher.

 

Mr. Fincher was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, retired from Crown Textile and was the owner and operator of Johnny’s Drive-In. He was a member of St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with family and friends.

 

Pallbearers will be Dylan Hall, Bradley George, Brian Vickers, Keith Blankenship, Alan Taylor, David Bowen and Daniel Bowen.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Williamson, Pat Greene and Tony Bishop.
