Obituary of Debra Jean Thompson
Debra Watts Thompson 65, of Lincoln, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2018. She was preceded by her parents Bert Watts, Dorothy Watts, and sister Barbara Gentry.
She was the true definition of a virtuous wife to her husband of 48 years, Rev. Donnie Thompson. She is survived by her brother, Larry Watts and sister, Connie Ledbetter.
She was a loving mother to her two daughters Michelle Collier (Mike), Misty Webster (Brian), and one son Joshua Thompson.
Her favorite role here on earth by far was being Nana to 7 grandchildren, Hannah Webster, Mallory Webster, Allie Webster, Blake Webster, Hunter Webster, Spencer Webster, Luke Collier, 2 great grandchildren, Madyx Webster and Harper Webster.
The two things she cherished most in this life was family and serving in her home church at Westside Baptist.
Mrs. Thompson was retired from Talladega County Board of Education.
The family will receive visitors at Usrey Funeral Home on Tuesday the 18th at 5pm for family and 5:30-8:00 PM for friends.
A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, December 19 at 1:00 PM at Westside Baptist Church in Talladega with the Rev. Jack Washington and Rev. Joel Davis officiating. Burial services will be held at Hall Cemetery in Lincoln, AL.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Blake Webster, Hunter Webster, Spencer Webster and Luke Collier. Along with Steve Smith and Jared Cooley.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Shaily Lakhanpal, Dr. April Ponder and St. Clair Home Health nurses.
