Obituary of Charles L. Burgess

Mr. Charles L. Burgess, 69, of Riverside, Alabama passed away on December 15, 2018 in Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Nell Burgess; brother, J.W. Burgess; and his sister, Fay Richey.

A devoted and loving father and grandfather, he is survived by his daughters, Sharlene (Brian) Beatty and Shannon (Jeremy) Bowling; son, Andrew (Jennifer) Burgess; sister, Alma Beasley; grandchildren, Landon and Grayson Beatty, Jabe and Jayda Burgess, and Addison Bowling; great-granddaughter, Maddy Grace Kurtgeri.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Cool Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm at the church. 

Pallbearers will be Brian Beatty, Jeremy Bowling, Landon Beatty, Grayson Beatty, Jabe Burgess, and David Free.
