Obituary of Joey Wayne Hollis

Joey Wayne “JoJo” Hollis, 36, passed away November 24, 2018.      The family will receive friends Monday, December 3, 2018 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Midway Memory Gardens with Paul Ledbetter officiating.

Joey was a native of Talladega. He was a member of The Choccolocco Tribe, an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and Auburn Fan.

He is survived by his mother, Johnnie Hollis; son, Michael Cole Hollis; sisters, Crystal Hollis, Kimberly Paige Hollis; grandfather, Edwin Jimbo “PawPaw” Knight; aunt, Samantha Weldon (Bobby); nephews, Hunter Johnson, Wesley Johnson;and niece, Rileigh Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Rickey Hollis; grandparents, Tressie “MeMe’ Knight, and William and Nancy Hollis.

Pallbearers will be Derrick Hayes, Steve Easterwood, Chris Boyett, Scott Peters, Terry “Big Guy” Monroe, and Stacie Easterwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Usrey Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses.

Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
