Obituary of James Allen Murner

Talladega – James A. Murner, 71, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018. Funeral service for Mr. Murner will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will be at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Rex Killough will officiate the service.

James was a native of Talladega and a member of the Whosoever Will Men’s Bible Class. He was also a Veteran and served during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corp. James also retired from the United States Postal Service.

Mr. Murner is survived by his sons, Jason Murner, Jeff (Tammy) Murner; daughter, Dana (Adam) Champion, Melissa Murner; grandchildren, Andrew Murner, Alyssa Murner, Mason Lawson, Justin Murner, Kobe Murner, and Ava Murner; brothers, Jerry Murner and Doyle Murner; sisters, Peggy Lovett and Brenda Beavers; mother of his children, Doris Murner. Pallbearers will be Chuck Woodard, Steve Camp, Jerry Huffstettler, Jimmy Murner, Josh Murner, and Jody Murner. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Whosoever Will Men’s Bible class. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Whoseoever Will Men's Bible Class.
