Obituary of Robert Lee Hurst

Lincoln – Robert Lee Hurst, 67, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Funeral service for Mr. Hurst will be on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home. Family will receive friends on Thursday August 23, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hurst was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was a minister for 38 years in United Methodist Church. He was also an avid fisherman and fisher of men.

Mr. Hurst is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sherri Hurst; son, Rodney Hurst; granddaughter, Taylor; brother, Dave Hurst; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Richard Taylor. Pallbearers will be Larry Taylor, Stanley Ford, John Ford, Gordon Coleman, Grady Hunter, and Randy McDonald. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maranatha Lighthouse Church of God or to the American Cancer Society.
